Walking home from school today, Anna told me about her new class teacher for next year.
She is this, she is that, she is everything, she is better than anyone.
I, of course, was not listening to the detail. Instead I was fretting about what to do with the kids when we got home so I can do another zoom meeting. But I managed just enough awareness to know that the overall tone from Anna was all good and positive. During a rare pause, and I felt it might be my turn.
“Well Anna, she sounds fantastic.”
“She is!” Anna replied.
“Maybe she should be the head teacher,” Emily chipped in.
“She should!” agreed Anna. “She is fun and strict – and that’s exactly what you need to be a head teacher!”
A career in HR awaits.
