One of the most beautiful things about children is the love they give – and also, that they go to school. At school, the teachers do all sorts of different activities including things like using Valentine’s Day as a theme for arts and crafts. So in their classes the children draw cute cards, paint pictures and make tissue paper flowers held together with pipe cleaner.
And so what a lovely surprise it is on a Monday morning a week after Valentine’s Day while madly rushing around getting everything ready for school after a busy weekend, to find these items of love crumpled, torn and water damaged at the bottom of their bags.
But you know what, I love it.
