Every time one of the girls has to visit the ‘medical’ at school (I think the ‘medical’ is just a room set aside for a bit of first aid and a lovely member of staff called Gloria, who may or may not be a nurse though I presume and hope has some kind of first aid for children training) I get a phone call and an email. Every time.
I usually miss the phone call. To delay, obviously, any message coming in that I may need to pick up a child. But I read the email when I see it come in, just in case.
Today’s email read; Bumped top of her head but forgot how it happened. No visible mark. Cold compress applied. Please speak to your child when they get home.
Should I laugh or worry? Is this Health and Safety information sharing gone mad. Or is it a sign of something quite serious when a bump to the head is followed by memory loss.
